Hi, I’m Jane,

I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share what makes me feel alive and happy while also making a living

I live in sunny Nelson, New Zealand, with my husband Alastair, our two children, Austin and Mackenzie, and Hunter the dog.

I am passionate about movement! I have been a dancer all my life. As a teenager, I chose to follow that passion into teaching, which over the last 20 years has evolved to many different movement modalities including yoga, barre and Pilates.

I started teaching when I was a baby…ok, I was 17, but still pretty young, and since then I’ve dedicated myself to learning as a teacher and enriching others’ lives.

I am eternally grateful for my teaching ‘apprenticeship’ with Peta Spooner, which turned into a lifetime partnership in dance, and friendship too. On the weekends my family and I love to walk our dog, be by the ocean and, of course, spend time at our local coffee shop!

 A few random nice-to-meet-you facts about me.

 

1.

I started as a jazz dancer and only began learning ballet when I was 15

2.

My husband and I have been together since we were 17

3.

I had only done about 6 yoga classes before I started my teacher training – my mind was blown!

I have the highest teaching qualifications obtainable with the International Dance Teachers Association

 

5.

I am super bendy, so I’m always focused on consistently moving from a place of correct alignment

 

6.

I am a little bit bohemian hippie and a little bit bogan!

My passion has always been to share my love of movement far and wide and help others feel the joy that can be found in moving your body in creative ways. My goal is to provide incredible classes that are accessible to all regardless of age demographic or physical limitations.

I want you to feel movement.

I want you to feel amazing. Through movement, mindfulness and alignment I guide you and provide gentle wellness advice along the way. We are a community of like-minded souls cheering each other on!
