Products I Love And Use On The Daily
I often get asked about what brands of mats and props I use, or that tea I always talk about etc. This is a space for my favourite things (cue Sound of Music!)
It can be frustrating when you can’t buy good quality products locally, and on the other hand, it can be overwhelming when you’ve got many options in front of you! I use these products below regularly because I love them and truly believe in their brands.
Yoga and Fitness Mats. I have had many yoga mats over the years and most of them have been great here are my favourites: I use a 5mm mat from Lululemon for my classes at the gym. It is super grippy and of amazing quality (I’ve had mine for over 6 years with daily use). Online at home I have a 5mm mat from Yoga Tribe, I love how large and luxurious it is, perfect for your at-home set-up. My husband and I also use our Wild Coast Yoga mat when working out or practising yoga together, it has a lovely soft top (the artwork is dreamy) and is a great portable size.
Other Props. If you have a regular home practice it is important to have just a few props to support you. While you can get away with using bits and pieces from around the house (cushions, towels, books, tinned food etc.) when you can, investing in some props is a way of making your home practice a priority and a sanctuary. For blocks, bolsters, straps and much more I recommend Eco Yoga Store for their incredible range and ethical brand, shop with the discount code 19E161CF for a wee discount. If you’re looking for something more personalised contact the lovely Lianne from Globe Artichoke for a very special bolster with your choice of fabric.
3. I Love Herbal Tea! While it’s no secret that I love my morning coffee, I sip away on herbal teas the rest of the day! My two favourite brands are Heke Herbals. Emma Heke is a talented Nelson lady who grows most of her herbs organically from home. The teas are of incredible quality with an excellent price point. My favourites are ‘Liver Love’ and ‘Sleep Tea’. Organic India is another wonderful brand that I wholeheartedly support. I love their quality teas, the use of whole herbs and their ethics around giving back to the communities where they source their herbs from. Put ‘jane15’ in at the checkout for a cheeky discount.
4. Superfeast. I have been following this brand for a number of years after meeting one of the owners on a yoga teacher training in Byron Bay. When I discovered a wonderful lady who lives in my area was selling it I knew I had to try! These products are tonic herbs, adaptogens and medicinal mushrooms and really are something special, with thousands of years of history behind them. Read the description of each product and go with what your intuition says, or contact the amazing Hannah for some guidance. I personally love Jing but have 2 or 3 others on the go too.
